This is a brief account of the Wisdom or The New Thoughtform Presentation of the Wisdom, as Lucille Cedercrans herself calls the source of her authorship. However, the Wisdom is only one way of expressing this source, and Lucille Cedercrans’ work ought to be studied in that context.
The Ageless Wisdom
The Ageless Wisdom is a term used here for a certain world picture or cosmology, which is described in a number of authorships. These writings have emerged from the late 1800’s until around 1960. The most important currents and authors within Ageless Wisdom are:
- Theosophy, as formulated by Helena P. Blavatsky et al.
- The Esoteric Doctrine, as formulated by Alice A. Bailey
- The Wisdom, as formulated by Lucille Cedercrans.
All of these authors have allegedly had direct contact with the Masters of Wisdom, the Hierarchy, the Inner World Government of the planet. The Masters have used these authors as channels to impart a new knowledge that the world was now ready to receive.
So what is this Ageless Wisdom about? In very short terms, its world picture is based on these basic elements:
God or Logos, whether it is a cosmic logos, a solar logos or a planetary logos expresses itself through three aspects. These three aspects correspond in Christian terminology to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. God or Logos also expresses itself through seven energies or “rays”. (the seven spirits before the throne of God). God's three aspects and seven rays of energy are each living beings. The God we know from the Bible is to be understood as our Planetary Logos.
Everything in the universe we know is alive and evolving, from the smallest atom to the largest galaxy. The entity we call God or Planetary Logos is also evolving. God then is not a finite, immutable being, which is the impression one gets when reading the Bible. Humanity as such and every individual in it is evolving, but it is important to understand that evolving is about the evolution of consciousness, not about the evolution of matter or form. In order for us to evolve, we need to practice until we master all the challenges we face as human beings. Therefore, we must be born again and again (reincarnate) and suffer the consequences of our actions - good and bad (karma). This continues until we have finally learned to use our free will to do God's will.
Evolution, reincarnation and karma are governed by Divine laws. These laws are comparable to the laws of nature, i.e. they are unbreakable and existent in themselves.
This was a very brief recount of the plan of evolution as far as we are concerned as human beings. The authors of Ageless Wisdom have taken upon them to tell us how this cosmology or world picture is arranged in further detail, and how we as humans can relate to it and move forward in evolution.
The Wisdom
The Wisdom as the term used for Lucille Cedercrans' writing. She herself writes about this: "Wisdom is not religion, philosophy or science, but an independent study, an experience and a practice".
The Wisdom derives from the same source as Theosophy and the Esoteric Doctrine.
The primary impulse for Theosophy came through the 1st ray Master Morya in cooperation with Helena Blavatsky. The Esoteric Doctrine is given through the 2nd ray master DK (the Tibetan Master Djwhal Khul) in cooperation with Alice Bailey and contains infinite amounts of knowledge. The Wisdom is given through Master R, the master of the 7th ray of ceremony and magic in cooperation with Lucille Cedercrans. The Wisdom is far more practically applicable than Theosophy and the Esoteric Doctrine. The books do not have chapters, but lessons, and the reader is guided lesson by lesson to practice meditations and other exercises. Only as much knowledge is given as is absolutely necessary to understand the instructions of the lessons.
Lucille Cedercrans communicated mainly with Master R. However, she also now and then brought through other members of the Hierarchy, i.e. Master Morya and Master DK. When Lucille first started her communication with Master R, she had no knowledge of Theosophy or Alice Bailey. This was a deliberate choice of Master R and ensured that she developed her own contact and communication without prejudice. Only when she had written The Nature of the Soul, did she become acquainted with Alice Bailey's teachings. And only then did she gradually find out that her own contacts with the Hierarchy were the same as Alice Bailey’s.
There is indeed an incredible coincidence of world picture and terminology between the writings of Alice Bailey and Lucille Cedercrans. To imagine that two persons without any knowledge of each other or each other's books would be able to describe such a complicated and coherent world picture using the same terminology and names of the inner contacts … this cannot be a coincidence.
I can only advise that you take up your own study of the books and decide for yourself.
